Tyrande is called a priestess, because that's how night elves society calls people in her station. As a follower of Elune, she enrolled in the clergy and that's how you get to be called a priestess. I know she is a priestess to Elune, but isn't that just Balance ... By the time cataclysm happens,it has been years since Kael’s downfall and the blood elves, having the sunwell back and the scourge all but gone, no longer need to have every available sword defending silvermoon. This opens up the opportunity for warrior elves to pursue questing, or perhaps fight the Horde’s enemies on new battle fronts.

Demon Hunters seem like a strong contender for strongest overall class since they do use a fair bit of magic. Generally magic>might in the Warcraft lore. Taken as an average, Demon Hunters or Death Knights (it's a toss up between them) for sure.Undead are supernaturally tough. The unholy energies that animate their bodies make them strong beyond simple muscle tissue, allowing them to easily rip apart limbs from victims. Plus, they do not feel pain and can survive wounds that could incapacitate or kill a living being.
