I bought the mower for maintenance of 4 acres of prairie planting and mowing some trails. I went with the 47" mower to keep it compact. I'll use it in the woods and on trails. I had previously used both bush hogs and rotary finish mowers. The flail cuts pretty close to the finish mower in quality but is more like the bush hog in its ability to cut rough stuff.
